While we can’t provide all of the details we have the following to report.

Code Name: Boothy

Over the past month we’ve been working hard on putting together something that will provide a greater amount of interaction, customization and uniqueness to the images you create with the MugShot Lounge.

Boothy (as the project has been named) is 96.5% finished and will be going through testing this week with it’s first appearance on June 11th at a local wedding (yep, we do weddings too).

What exactly is Boothy, what does it do and what does it look like? You’ll have to keep an eye out in the next two weeks to see the big reveal. We’re excited and you should be too.

Pricing Structure Update

We’ve looked at what our past clients have asked of us and what future events are looking for and we are updating our pricing structure to reflect the needs of event planners across the region.

Within the coming month we will have updated pricing information on this site that provides greater value for anyone planning events. By greater value we mean we’ve actually found a way to reduce some of our costs and are transferring these savings onto you. Prices are actually dropping!

We’ll be offering a single standard package that reflects the needs of 90% of our customers, but with the flexibility of customization to make the pricing and experience unique for your event.

Non-Profits & Charities: With this new pricing structure there will be a flat, reduced rate that will provide almost 50% in savings. This is even greater value than our current non-profit rate of 40% off. Stay Tuned.

On-Site Printing

One of the biggest request we’ve had over the past 10 months is that for the on-site printing of images at events. We’ve failed to offer this in the past, not because we didn’t want to, or were too lazy, but because we wanted to make sure we could offer the best possible service and value to you event attendees.

We think we’ve found the way to do this.

Over the past couple of week’s we’ve been in contact with a number of different printer manufactures, and to keep a long story short, we’ll hopefully be offering on-site printing within the next two months. We know what printer we will be getting we only have to wait for it to be shipped into London as it isn’t available locally.

We’ve got most of the cost and pricing worked out and it looks like we’ll be offering prints for close to $1.¹. What a steal!

Private Events

Although not reflected here on our website (or on our Facebook page) we’ve been busy transforming event photography across the city and region. Mainly at High School and private events, we’ve been giving people a chance to step away from traditional, boring event portrait photography and step into the MugShot Lounge which isn’t your grandma’s photo booth. Most of these images have been kept private out of respect and by requests for the event attendees.

On-Site Enhancements

Although we know that the MugShot Lounge is more interactive, fun and exciting than your typical photo booth we wanted to change things up a bit to offer everyone who steps into the MugShot Lounge with an even better experience.

A couple of weeks ago we started to plan, develop and design a new interactive experience for the MugShot Lounge. While we can’t reveal the details of what we are working on at this time, we can tell you this: what we will be offering in the coming months/years will allow for you and your guests to have more control over their interactive experience and capture even more of the memorable and hysterical moments from your event.

In the coming weeks our concept and design should be put into production and in the next month or two we should be launching a new and exciting branch of the MugShot Lounge. BUT, don’t worry, for those of you whom have experienced the MugShot Lounge in the past year, things will be changing only slightly, so don’t fret, you’ll still have a great time.

Website Changes

Over the coming months we will be changing things up slightly on the website. Instead of posting before and after each event we’re going to go with a monthly newsletter/posting coupled with more activity on Twitter. We hope that this pairing can help to get you the ‘need to know’ info as soon as possibly while providing more long form details all in one sitting.

United Way’s annual Celebration event is just around the corner, and we want you to celebrate with us. This year we’re asking you to bring your friends and family to join us in some community fun.

This is a public event and will include the participation of partner organizations, campaign supporters, volunteers, donors, community groups and local families. Everyone is welcome!

Celebration will take place on Sunday, February 27, 2011 at the Covent Garden Market in central London, from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. Remarks at 1:30 p.m.

This past Friday the MugShot Lounge had an opportunity to hang out with a ton of great people for a great cause.

Kahunas and Cocktails is an annual event to help raise funds for Breast Cancer research. Put on by the “Fight Like a Girl” team, this night of drinks, socializing and fundraising was a great way to get people out and involved.

The MugShot Lounge was on site to let people in attendance show just how much they “fight like girls”. With some Incredible Hulk hands included, the photo booth was a highlight of the night.
